XAT 2027 Registration Begins July 15 at xatonline.in; Apply Early for Test City of Choice

The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur will begin the registration process for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027 on July 15, 2026. MBA/PGDM aspirants can apply for the exam, scheduled for January 3, 2027, through the official website, xatonline.in. Candidates can fill out the application form until November 30, 2026, with the window expected to close by the first week of December 2026.

This year, XLRI Jamshedpur has introduced additional advantages for candidates registering on opening day of XAT 2027 registrations. Candidates registering on Day 1 will be allotted their first-choice test city and will get the confirmation as early as 5th August 2026. The basic registration fee for XAT 2027 is Rs. 2,200 and an additional Rs. 200 for each XLRI program applied to.

How to Apply for XAT 2027

Candidates can follow these steps to register for XAT 2027:

  1. Go to the official website, xatonline.in.
  2. Register by providing a valid email ID and mobile number.
  3. Fill out the XAT 2027 application form with personal and academic details.
  4. Upload the required documents, including scanned images of your photograph, signature, and identity proof.
  5. Pay the basic registration fee of INR 2,200, and an additional INR 200 for each XLRI program applied to.
  6. Submit the application form and download a copy for future reference.

XAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates planning to appear for the XAT 2027 exam must satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by XLRI before filling out the application form.

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
  • Students in the final year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation within the timeline specified by XLRI.
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement in graduation to appear for the XAT exam. Candidates only need to have successfully completed or be completing their qualifying degree.
  • No age limit has been prescribed for XAT 2027. Candidates of any age can apply if they meet the educational qualification criteria.
  • Work experience is not mandatory for appearing in XAT, although it may be considered by individual participating institutes during admissions.
  • NRI and foreign candidates applying to certain XLRI programmes may be required to apply through GMAT instead of XAT, as per the institute’s admission policy.

Documents Required for XAT 2027 Application

Applicants need to prepare the following documents for the XAT 2027 application:

  • 10th and 12th marksheets.
  • Graduation degree certificate.
  • Scanned signature.
  • Recent passport size photograph.
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.).

Scanned images for signature, photograph, and identity proof must be a maximum of 1 MB in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. Identity proof can also be uploaded in PDF format.

XAT 2027 Exam Pattern

The XAT 2027 exam will follow the revised exam pattern introduced by XLRI, featuring a 180-minute computer-based test with 95 multiple-choice questions and no sectional time limits.

XAT 2027 Test Cities

The XAT 2027 exam will be conducted in over 70 test cities across India. This year, the number of XAT test cities has increased to 109. Candidates can choose up to six preferred test cities during the application process. Day 1 applicants will get their first preferred cities. Further, candidates registering on the opening day will get the additional advantage of city allotment by 5th August 2026.
