The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has officially released the schedule and exam dates for the Karnataka Management Admission Test (KMAT) 2026. KMAT 2026 is scheduled forย 13th September 2026.ย The KMAT 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts: 10-12 (MCA) and 2-4 (MBA/PGDM). Further, registration date for KMAT 2026 has been extended to August 31, 2026.ย Students willing to register for this exam must pay the application fee of Rs. 873.60.

The KPPGCA announced that the online home-based remote proctored examination for KMAT 2026 will take place on September 13, 2026 (Sunday). The state-level test opens gateway opportunities for candidates across India to secure admission in over 180 AICTE-approved management and postgraduate institutes in Karnataka.

KMAT 2026 Exam Timings for MBA and MCA
The examination will be conducted on the same day in two separate shifts for different programs to accommodate candidates applying for dual programs:

MCA Examination: 10:00 AM โ 12:00 PM (Morning Shift)

MBA / PGDM Examination: 02:00 PM โ 04:00 PM (Afternoon Shift)
Note: Both shifts carry a total duration of 2 hours (120 minutes) in remote proctored mode.
KMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility parameters prescribed by the KPPGCA:

Nationality & Domicile: Open to all Indian citizens regardless of domicile status; non-Karnataka residents are equally eligible.

Age Limit: No upper or lower age restriction applies for taking the test.

For MBA / PGDM:

Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3-year duration) or Master’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline.

Minimum aggregate marks of 50% for General category candidates (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply provisionally.

For MCA:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST).

Mandatory to have studied Mathematics at the Class 12 (10+2) level or during graduation.
