AP Police SI 2026: Eligibility Criteria

For SI Communication (Post Code 15) and SI Police Transport Organisation (PTO) (Post Code 16) posts, candidates must be aged between 21 and 27 years as of 1 July 2026. This means the candidate’s date of birth should fall between 2 July 1999 and 1 July 2005. Eligible graduates aged 21–30 years can apply for other AP Police SI posts, according to agrijob. in. Candidates belonging to EWS, BC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, and ST categories are eligible for up to 5 years of upper-age relaxation.

Regarding educational qualifications, candidates for SI Communication (Post Code 15) must hold a diploma or B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Computer Engineering, IT, or a B.Sc. in electronics or an equivalent qualification. For SI PTO (Post Code 16), the required educational qualification is a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automobile Engineering, or an equivalent degree.

AP Police Si 2026: Selection Process for Communication and PTO Posts

Physical Efficiency Test (Pet)

The PET includes a 1600-metre run, which is qualifying in nature. Men must complete this 1600-metre run within 10 minutes, while women must complete it within 12 minutes and 30 seconds. Successful completion of the PET is mandatory to proceed to the Final Written Examination.

Final Written Examination

The Final Written Examination for SI Communication (Post Code 15) and SI PTO (Post Code 16) comprises three papers. Paper I is English, carrying 100 marks, and is qualifying in nature. Paper II covers Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability, also for 100 marks, and contributes to the merit list.
