UPSSSC inter level recruitment 2026 notification out for 1,784 posts, apply by 1 December

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on 16 October 2026 released a detailed notification for 1,784 vacancies under the Combined Lower Subordinate Services (Intermediate Level) Main Examination. The recruitment drive, advertised as 26-Exam/2026, aims to fill various Inter Level posts across different state departments.

Online applications for these positions will begin on 10 November 2026, and the deadline for submission is 1 December 2026. Candidates who have qualified in the UPSSSC PET 2025 and hold a valid scorecard are eligible to apply through the official website, upsssc.gov.in.

Application Process and Key Dates

The online application window for the UPSSSC Combined Lower Subordinate Services (Intermediate Level) Main Examination 2026 opens on 10 November 2026. Prospective candidates must complete their applications by 1 December 2026. A processing fee of ₹25 is applicable for all categories, including General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PH candidates.

Payment can be made through Online Net Banking, UPI, Credit/Debit Card, or SBI e-Challan. The UPSSSC has also set 8 December 2026 as the last date for fee reconciliation and any modifications to the application form.

To apply, candidates should visit the official UPSSSC website, upsssc.gov.in, and locate the link for Advt. No. 26-Exam/2026. They will need to log in using their UPSSSC PET 2025 Registration Number, either via personal details authentication or OTP. After verifying pre-filled personal information, candidates must enter educational details, select post preferences, and confirm eligibility. Following the verification of uploaded photograph and signature, applicants must accept the declaration and submit the form. The final step involves paying the processing fee and printing the completed application form and fee receipt for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Procedure

Candidates applying for the UPSSSC Combined Lower Subordinate Services (Intermediate Level) Main Examination 2026 must have passed Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Specific posts may require additional qualifications, such as a CCC Degree from a recognized board or three years of agriculture experience. The minimum age requirement ranges from 18 to 21 years, depending on the post, as of 1 July 2026. The maximum age limit is between 30 and 40 years, also as of 1 July 2026, with age relaxation applicable as per UPSSSC rules.

The selection process for these 1,784 vacancies includes three stages: shortlisting based on UPSSSC PET 2025 scores, a Main Written Examination, and Document Verification. A final merit list will be prepared after the document verification stage. The UPSSSC has stated that the exam date and admit card availability will be notified at a later stage, and the result date will be updated soon.

Vacancy Distribution Across Departments

A total of 1,784 vacancies have been announced across various state departments. The distribution includes 840 posts for the General category, 144 for EWS, 448 for OBC, 326 for SC, and 26 for ST candidates. The posts include Gram Panchayat Adhikari, Gram Vikas Adhikari (Samaj Kalyan), Vanijya Kar Sangrah Amin, Bhumi Arjan Amin, and Samaj Kalyan Paryavekshak, among others.

For instance, the State Tax Commissioner’s Office has 235 temporary posts for Commerce Tax Collection Amin, with 95 for UR, 54 for SC, 6 for ST, 57 for OBC, and 23 for EWS. The Land Acquisition Directorate, Revenue Council, UP, Lucknow, has 187 permanent posts for Land Acquisition Amin, while the Medical & Health Services Directorate, UP, has 118 temporary posts for Storekeeper & Clerk.
