Bihar NEET UG Seat Matrix 2026 OUT: UGMAC Offers 4,177 MBBS and BDS Seats

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has officially released the seat matrix for the Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) 2026. Candidates who have qualified for the NEET UG 2026 examination can now review the detailed distribution of medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) seats available across government and private institutions in Bihar.

As per the official notification published on the official portal, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, a total of 4,177 seats are open for admission in medical and dental colleges across the state. This includes both government medical and dental colleges as well as self-financed private institutions participating in the state quota counselling process.

Detailed Seat Breakup: MBBS and BDS Seats

The UGMAC 2026 seat matrix provides a clear breakdown between MBBS and BDS courses, as well as the divide between state-run government colleges and private medical institutions.

  • Government MBBS Seats: 1,392 seats

  • Private MBBS Seats: 2,450 seats

  • Government BDS Seats: 30 seats

  • Private BDS Seats: 200 seats

The government MBBS seats are declared after deducting the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and Central Nominee seats, leaving 85% of state quota seats strictly reserved for candidates holding Bihar domicile.

Private medical colleges offering MBBS seats through state counselling include Katihar Medical College (Katihar), Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College (Kishanganj), Narayan Medical College & Hospital (Sasaram), Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College (Saharsa), Madhubani Medical College (Madhubani), and Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital (Bihta). For dental admissions, private colleges such as Buddha Institute of Dental Science & Hospital (Patna) and Mithila Minority Dental College (Darbhanga) are participating under UGMAC.
