CENTAC NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Registration Begins for Medical Courses: Check Full Schedule, How to Register, How to Resign & More
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, officially opened Round 2 registration and choice filling for NEET UG 2026 based medical courses on September 8, 2026. Candidates can now register and submit their course preferences through the official website, centacpuducherry.in, for various programmes including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BVSc & AH. Last date to submit course preference, pay fees and willingness is September 10th, 2026. Students can resign/withdraw from Round 1 allotments till September 11th, 2026.
This second round of counselling aims to fill the vacant seats reported after the completion of Round 1, covering 85 percent state quota seats, National Seats, and NRI quota within the union territory. The notification also provides a window for candidates allotted seats in Round 1 to resign if they wish to participate in Round 2 for an upgrade or a different preference.

Eligible candidates must complete the registration and choice filling process on the official CENTAC portal. It is imperative to follow the steps carefully to ensure a successful application for the medical and veterinary courses.
- Go to the official website, centacpuducherry.in.
- Click on the ‘UG NEET 2026 Counselling’ link available on the homepage.
- Register as a new user or log in using existing credentials.
- Fill in all the required personal and academic details accurately.
- Pay the prescribed application fee, if applicable.
- Submit your preferred courses and colleges in the order of your choice.
- Review your choices carefully and lock them before the deadline.
How to Resign The Seat Allotted in Round 1?
Candidates who wish to withdraw from a Round 1 allotted and joined seat without forfeiture of the registration fee can submit a resignation request through their CENTAC login dashboard.
- Log in to the CENTAC candidate dashboard using your registered credentials.
- Access the Resignation/Withdrawal option for the Round 1 allotted seat.
- Download or refer to the Resignation Request Letter (Annexure 17) provided in the UG NEET Information Brochure.
- Complete the resignation request as required.
- Submit the resignation request through the candidate login dashboard.
- Ensure that the request is submitted on or before September 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM to resign without forfeiture of the applicable fee.
