GGU special offline UG counselling on September 29 for vacant seats

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU) has announced a special offline undergraduate (UG) counselling session for September 29, 2026, to address vacant seats across its various programmes. This spot counselling round provides a final opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission at the Central University located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

The university released the official notice on September 23, 2026, detailing the requirements and procedures for this physical reporting round. This follows earlier online counselling phases and a previous special offline spot counselling held on September 8, 2026, which aimed to fill 477 vacant undergraduate seats across 27 programmes.

Counselling Schedule and Eligibility

The special offline counselling will take place on September 29, 2026, at the Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Campus in Bilaspur. Candidates are required to report physically between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the designated day. Seat allotment will be conducted on the spot, based on merit.

Eligibility for this round primarily requires candidates to have appeared for CUET UG 2026 and possess a valid score card. However, candidates who have not appeared in CUET UG 2026 may also report to the concerned department leading up to 11:00 AM on September 29, 2026. Aspirants must also meet programme-specific eligibility criteria, including minimum Class 12 marks and required subjects. The Central Government’s reservation policy will be applied during seat allotment.

Document Verification and Seat Allotment Process

Candidates attending the counselling must carry all original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification. Missing or incomplete documents may result in the loss of an allotted seat. The departments are scheduled to publish the vacancy list on the university website on September 24, 2026. This special counselling process will entertain fresh applications only against vacant seats.

Merit lists will be prepared by departments on September 29, 2026. The preference order for seat allotment will be: first, registered candidates in non-exhausted merit lists; second, candidates with relevant CUET scores; and third, candidates based on Class 12 marks. Shortlisted candidates must submit the fee online within the stipulated time as prescribed by the Head of Department concerned. Candidates can also apply to change their caste/category or transfer their CUET UG application from one programme to another during this special round. Transfer certificates must be submitted within four working days from the date of admission.

Required Documents and Fee Payment

A full list of documents is required for on-spot verification. Candidates are advised to prepare these in advance to ensure a smooth counselling process. The semester fees will be collected through http://ggvcuet.samarth.edu.in for registered candidates. For non-registered candidates, fees will be collected via SWIPE Machine. If no EWS candidates are available, EWS seats may be converted to Unreserved (UR) on September 29, 2026.

Specific programmes, including BCA, the Apprenticeship-based degree programme – B.Sc (Computer Science), and B.Sc. Chemistry, have scheduled special offline (Spot) Counselling for September 29, 2026. A spot counselling notice for B.Sc. Biotechnology was also issued on September 24, 2026. The CUET UG Counselling Guidelines 2026 for September 29, 2026, were issued on September 23, 2026.
