Gujarat TAT Secondary Prelims 2026 question paper, final answer key released

The State Examination Board (SEB), Gujarat, has officially released the question paper and final answer key for the Gujarat Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) Secondary (TAT-S) Prelims 2026. The examination was conducted on 3 May 2026, and the documents are available on the official portals, including www.sebexam.org and gseb.org.

This release allows candidates to evaluate the exam pattern, understand subject-wise question distribution, assess the overall difficulty level, and calculate their estimated scores before the official results. The selection process for secondary school teachers in Gujarat involves two stages: Prelims and Mains.

Key Dates and Answer Key Revisions

The provisional answer key for TAT S 2026 was initially released on 16 May 2026. Following this, the final answer key was published on 25 June 2026. The State Examination Board (SEB), Gujarat, next issued a revised final answer key, which included changes to two answers for the TAT(S) Prelims 2026. These revised answers will be considered for evaluation, while all other answers in the key remain unchanged.

Specifically, for Gujarati Medium Common Paper Series A, Question No. 17, the answer was changed from Option D to Option B. For Gujarati Medium Science & Technology – Mathematics (Advertisement No. 101) Series A, Question No. 163, the answer was revised from Option A to Option C. The objection submission window for the provisional answer key was open from 4 May 2026 (4:00 PM) to 10 May 2026 (4:00 PM), requiring candidates to submit separate objections for each question with valid supporting evidence from government-published books.

Exam Structure and Marking Scheme

The Gujarat TAT Secondary 2026 examination comprised 200 questions, carrying a total of 200 marks. The test was conducted offline, using a pen-and-paper format, and served as the preliminary stage of the selection process. The question paper was available in both Gujarati and English mediums.

According to the State Examination Board, the marking scheme awards 1 mark for each correct answer. A negative marking of 0.25 mark is applied for each incorrect answer, while no marks are deducted for unattempted questions. To qualify for the next stage, General Category candidates must secure 60% passing marks, while Reserved Categories (SC / ST / SEBC / EWS / PH) require 55% passing marks.

Result Declaration and Next Steps

The Gujarat TAT Secondary Result 2026 was officially released on 4 July 2026. Along with the answer key PDF, the State Examination Board of Gujarat (SEBG) also released the OMR sheets for the examination. Candidates were able to download their OMR sheets from 08 May 2026 until 14 May 2026, by providing their roll number and date of birth.

The validity of the merit list generated from this examination will remain until the publication of the next TAT merit list.
