Jharkhand B.Ed 2026 round 4 choice filling closes on September 22

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) is set to close the online registration and choice filling window for the fourth and final round of Jharkhand B.Ed 2026 counselling tomorrow, September 22, 2026. This round is for admission to B.Ed courses offered by government and private colleges across Jharkhand.

Following the closure of the choice filling period, the provisional seat allotment letter for the fourth round will be released on September 24, 2026. Later, document verification and admission for successful candidates in this round will take place from September 25 to September 30, 2026.

Counselling Process and Key Dates

The Jharkhand B.Ed 2026 counselling process, which commenced with the first round on July 14, 2026, involves several stages including online registration, payment of a non-refundable counselling fee, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, downloading of provisional seat allotment letters, document verification, and reporting to the allotted college for final admission confirmation. Seat allotment is determined by the Common Merit Rank (CMR), Category Rank, reservation policy, seat availability, and the choices submitted by candidates.

The display of the seat matrix for the fourth round began on September 16, 2026. The JCECEB has conducted multiple rounds of counselling since the initial phase in July. The complete schedule for all counselling rounds is detailed below:

Eligibility Criteria and Examination Structure

Candidates applying for the B.Ed course must meet specific academic eligibility requirements. According to the JCECEB, applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in their Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Science, Social Science, Humanities, or Commerce. A relaxation of 5% is provided for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and other reserved categories, requiring a minimum of 45% marks.

For candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics, a minimum of 55% marks is required. Reserved categories in this stream also receive a 5% relaxation, needing 50% marks. The non-refundable counselling fee is ₹400 for General, EWS, BC-I, and BC-II categories, while SC, ST, and all female candidates pay ₹250.

The B.Ed. Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (CET) 2026-28, which was held on May 31, 2026, forms the basis for admission to the two-year B.Ed. course. The results for this examination were released on July 3, 2026. The exam comprised multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for a total of 100 marks. Each correct answer was awarded 1 mark, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks deducted for every incorrect response. The examination was structured into three sections: Language Proficiency with 30 questions, Teaching Aptitude with 40 questions, and Reasoning Ability with 30 questions.
