Maharashtra MBA CET Counselling 2026 Deadline Extended Till 16th July (5 PM): Full Updates

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has extended the online registration window for the MBA/MMS Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026 to July 16th, 2026 (Thursday) 5:00 PM. Previous MAH MBA CAP 2026 deadline, before extension, was July 12, 5 PM. This leads to the entire schedule being revised to new dates. Document verification is now open till 17th July 2026, and MAH MBA CAP 2026 provisional list now scheduled for 19th July 2026. 

Candidates seeking admission through MAH MBA CET 2026 or other accepted national-level entrance examinations must complete the online registration, upload the required documents, and ensure their application form is confirmed on the official portal before the deadline. A MAH MBA CET counselling registration fee of Rs. 1,200 for general category and Rs. 1,000 for reserved category is applicable.

How to Register for Maharashtra MBA CET Counselling 2026?

Candidates can complete the MAH MBA/MMS CET CAP registration process by following these steps:

1. Visit the official Maharashtra CET Cell CAP portal.
2. Click on MBA/MMS option under ‘Technical Education’ heading.
3. Click on candidate login option.
4. Login using your Registered Email ID and Password.
5. You will be directed to the CAP portal.
6. Fill the details, upload documents and pay the fees.
7. Complete the form and click on submit.
8. Download/save the submission confirmation for future reference.

Who Can Apply for Maharashtra MBA CET Counselling 2026?

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell can participate in the MBA/MMS CAP 2026 counselling process.

• Maharashtra State candidates with a non-zero score in MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026.
• All India candidates with a valid score in MAH MBA CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT.
• Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a recognized university.
• General category candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State).
• Final-year graduation students may also apply, provided they satisfy the eligibility conditions at the time of admission.
• Candidates must meet any additional eligibility requirements specified by the State CET Cell for their respective candidature category.

Candidates are required to pay the MHA MBA CET CAP registration fee online while submitting the application form.

Candidates should keep the following documents ready while completing the  Maharashtra MBA/MMS CET Counselling registration:

• MAH MBA CET 2026 scorecard or valid CAT/CMAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT scorecard (where applicable)
• Class 10 certificate (Date of Birth proof)
• Class 12 marksheet and certificate
• Graduation marksheets and degree/provisional certificate
• Valid photo identity proof
• Domicile certificate (if applicable)
• Nationality certificate/Indian passport/Birth certificate (where applicable)
• Caste certificate (for reserved category candidates)

Maharashtra MBA CET Counselling 2026 Merit List and Seat Allotment Process

After the registration and document verification process concludes, the State CET Cell will publish the provisional merit list. Candidates can raise grievances or request corrections within the specified period before the final merit list is released. Eligible candidates will then participate in CAP rounds by filling their college and course preferences. Seats will be allotted based on merit rank, reservation policy, candidate preferences, and seat availability. Candidates allotted a seat must accept it online and report to the allotted institute within the prescribed timeline. 

Important Instructions for Maharashtra MBA CET Counselling 2026

Verification is Mandatory: Merely submitting the form online does not qualify you for seat allocation. Your application form must status-read “Confirmed” by a Facilitation Centre (FC) by July 13.

Caste Validity Limitations: If a candidate registers under a reserved category but fails to produce valid Tribe/Caste Validity or Non-Creamy Layer documents by the verification deadline, their profile will automatically be shifted to the General open category.

Oversized or Blurry Scans: Uploading documents that are illegible or exceed the 500 KB limit can stall your E-Scrutiny.

Delaying Form Confirmation: Waiting until the last hour of the verification window can result in standard tech bottlenecks or unresolved grievances.

Incorrect Category Selection: Choosing a category without possessing active, verifiable reservation proofs will lead to form rejections during checking.
