Bihar PGEAC 2026 Counselling Registration Begins from 10-18 July: Check Direct Links, Deadlines, Registration Process & More

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has commenced the online registration process for the Post Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (PGEAC) 2026 for admission to M.Tech programmes in Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar. The Bihar PGEAC 2026 counselling is open from 10th July 2026 to 18th July 2026. Applicants must also pay a BCECEB PGEAC 2026 counselling fee of Rs. 2,200. Eligible candidates can register at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. 

Candidates with a valid GATE score can submit their online application through the official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, within the prescribed schedule. The counselling will be conducted based on GATE merit and the eligibility criteria specified in the official prospectus.

Who Can Apply for Bihar PGEAC 2026 Counselling?

Candidates meeting the following eligibility criteria can apply for Bihar PGEAC 2026 counselling:

• Must possess a valid GATE score in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Must have passed B.E./B.Tech or an equivalent qualification in the relevant branch from a recognised institution. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are generally eligible only if they produce the required documents at the time of counselling, as specified in the prospectus.
• Must satisfy the eligibility conditions and residential (domicile) requirements, if applicable, prescribed in the PGEAC-2026 prospectus.

Candidates are required to pay the prescribed counselling fee online while submitting the application form.

Candidates can pay the counselling fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. In addition to the counselling fee, applicable payment gateway/processing charges will be borne by the candidate. The counselling fee is non-refundable, and applications without successful fee payment before the deadline will be treated as incomplete.

Bihar PGEAC 2026 Counselling Process After Registration

After the registration process is completed, BCECEB will conduct the admission process in the following stages:

• Applications will be scrutinised by the Board.
• PGEAC 2026 Rank Card and counselling schedule will be published on 24 July 2026.
• Eligible candidates must appear for offline counselling with the required original documents.
• Seats will be allotted based on GATE merit, eligibility, reservation policy, and seat availability.
• Selected candidates must complete document verification and admission formalities to confirm their allotted seat.

Bihar PGEAC 2026 Vacant Seat Admission Process

If seats remain vacant after two rounds of counselling for GATE-qualified candidates, BCECEB will fill the remaining vacancies based on the B.E./B.Tech percentage marks of eligible candidates. The Board will issue a separate notification with the eligibility criteria and counselling schedule for this admission process.
