The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has officially extended the deadline for Round 1 seat acceptance fee payment and willingness submission for CSAB NEUT (North Eastern States and Union Territories) 2026 counselling till 5 PM on 6 August 2026. The original deadline was yesterday, i.e., 5th August 2026. Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 now have additional time to confirm their preferences and safeguard their seat allocation at csab.nic.in/csab-neut.
This scheme provides technical education opportunities (Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy) in AICTE-approved institutions for students belonging to North Eastern states and specified Union Territories that lack adequate degree-level technical facilities.

How to Complete Fee Payment and Submit Willingness
Candidates can complete their fee payment and record their willingness selection directly on the CSAB NEUT portal by following these steps:

Check Seat Allotment Status: Navigate to the candidate dashboard and view the Round 1 allotment letter.

Pay Seat Acceptance Fee: Complete the online fee payment of ₹5,000 using UPI, Net Banking, or Card payment methods.

Select Willingness Option: Choose one of the following willingness preferences based on your choice:

Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of any further upgrades in subsequent rounds.

Slide: Accept the seat, but remain eligible for a higher preference branch within the same institute in Round 2.

What Happens If Candidates Miss the Extended Deadline?
Failing to complete both the fee payment and the willingness submission before August 6, 2026 (5:00 PM) carries severe consequences:

Automatic Cancellation: The seat allotted in Round 1 will be automatically forfeited and canceled.

Exclusion from Subsequent Rounds: Candidates who fail to respond within the deadline will be removed from further seat allocation in Round 2.
