Understanding the Withdrawal and Refund Rules

If you decide not to proceed with your allotted seat, NIFT offers a clear exit path. However, you must make up your mind before the July 17 deadline:

  • Withdrawal After July 17: If you miss this deadline, your entire academic fee will be forfeited, and only your security deposit will be refunded.

  • Mode of Withdrawal: Please note that all withdrawal requests must be submitted online through the admission portal. No emails or offline requests will be entertained.

What’s Next? The Stray Vacancy (Spot) Round

Once Round 3 concludes, NIFT will conduct a Stray Vacancy (Spot) Round to fill any remaining vacant seats across the campuses.

  • Spot Round Registration: Fresh registrations and participation fee payments (non-refundable fee of ₹5,000) will open from July 19 to July 22, 2026.

  • Seat Allotment: The Spot Round allotment result will be declared on July 24, 2026.

  • Physical Reporting: All candidates must physically report to their designated NIFT campuses on July 29, 2026, for final document verification and the start of the academic term.
