The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Chhattisgarh is concluding the choice filling and locking process for the CG NEET UG 2026 Round 3, also known as the Mop-Up Round, today, October 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM. This round is crucial for MBBS and BDS state quota admissions in Chhattisgarh.
Candidates seeking admission must submit and lock their college preferences through the official websites, cgdme.in or cgdme.admissions.nic.in. The deadline was extended from October 7 to October 8, 2026, as per official notification No. 1606/Student/Counselling/DME/2026 issued by the Commissionerate of Medical Education, Raipur, due to the addition of seats surrendered by students admitted in earlier rounds.
Revised Schedule and Seat Allotment Process
The seat allotment process for the Mop-Up round will commence immediately after the choice filling portal closes at 11:59 PM today. The DME is expected to announce the seat allotment result shortly after processing the locked choices. Seat allotment will be determined based on candidate ranks, category reservation, and the available vacant seats. Candidates are advised that locked choices cannot be altered later.
A revised seat matrix has been published on the official portal to reflect the newly added surrendered seats. Candidates completing the choice locking process will be considered for this Round 3 seat allotment. The Directorate of Medical Education, established in 2000, is a government body under the Department of Health and Family Welfare in the Chhattisgarh Government, responsible for administering 21 medical colleges, 7 dental colleges, and over 125 nursing colleges, including student counseling for admissions.

Registration and Fee Regulations for Round 3
Fresh registrations for Round 3 concluded on October 6, 2026, at 11:59 PM. All previously registered eligible candidates are required to fill out fresh college preferences for Round 3, as choices submitted during Round 1 or Round 2 have been automatically reset to zero. Candidates who previously opted only for Government Medical Colleges but now wish to include Private Medical Colleges must pay a differential registration fee.
Also, candidates who were allotted a private medical college seat in Round 2, completed scrutiny, but chose not to join, have forfeited their security deposit. These candidates must register again and pay the security fee to participate in Round 3. As per CG Medical Admission Rules 2025, if a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 3 or subsequent rounds and fails to report or resigns after joining, their security deposit will also be forfeited.
