Slat 2027 Eligibility Criteria: Academic and Age Requirements

For SLAT 2027, candidates from the General and OBC categories must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their Class 12 examination or an equivalent grade. SC/ST candidates are granted a relaxation, requiring a minimum of 40% marks in Class 12. Symbiosis International University has confirmed that there is no upper age limit for SLAT 2027 applicants, making the examination accessible to a wider demographic of aspiring legal professionals.

All applicants must have successfully completed their Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Students who are currently in Class 12 and are awaiting their results in 2027 are also eligible to apply. However, these candidates must provide conclusive proof of passing their qualifying examination at the time of admission to Symbiosis Law Schools.

Slat 2027 Reservation Policies Across Symbiosis Law Schools

Symbiosis International University adheres to various reservation policies to ensure inclusive access to its law programs. A 3% reservation is provided for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, in line with Government of India norms. Symbiosis Law School Pune offers a 5% reservation for defence category candidates, acknowledging their service. In addition, two seats per program are reserved for Kashmiri Migrants (KM) and Kashmiri Pandits / Hindu Families (KHF) over and above the sanctioned intake. Slat 2027 Application and Examination Schedule

The SLAT 2027 examination is scheduled to be conducted in two test sessions in December 2026, offering flexibility to applicants.

The SLAT exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising 60 questions, to be completed within a duration of 60 minutes. Importantly, there is no negative marking in the SLAT exam.
