CLAT 2027 application correction facility expected to open on November 2

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is expected to open the application correction facility for CLAT 2027 on November 2, 2026. This window will allow candidates to rectify specific details in their Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) application forms, accessible through the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT 2027 registration process, which commenced on August 3, 2026, is scheduled so on October 31, 2026. The upcoming correction window aligns with previous admission cycles where the Consortium typically provided a facility for corrections around or shortly after the application deadline.

Permitted and Restricted Changes in CLAT 2027 Applications

During the anticipated correction window, candidates will be able to modify certain fields in their CLAT 2027 application forms. The Consortium will permit changes to personal information, scanned photographs and signatures, educational qualifications including details of 10th and 12th grade or qualifying degree marks and institutions, and test centre preferences.

However, candidates will not be allowed to alter entries related to initial registration, such as their mobile number and email ID. In addition, once an application is submitted and payment is made, changes to the chosen program, category, and BPL field are restricted. The application form, complete in all respects and after payment of fees, must be finally submitted and paid on or before October 31, 2026, by 11:59 P.M.

Key Dates and Examination Schedule for CLAT 2027

The CLAT 2027 examination is scheduled to be held in offline mode on Sunday, December 6, 2026. The test will run from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with an extended duration until 4:40 P.M. for eligible candidates belonging to the PWD category. The Consortium of NLUs released the official CLAT 2027 exam dates on consortiumofnlus.ac.in on July 22, 2026.

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 4,000, while SC, ST, BPL, and PwD candidates are required to pay INR 3,500. An additional INR 500 is charged for optional previous year question papers. The CLAT 2027 UG paper will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions to be attempted within a two-hour duration.

Changes to Test Cities and Post-Exam Schedule

Vellore and Tiruvarur have been removed from the list of CLAT 2027 test cities. Candidates who initially selected these locations as their preferred test cities must change their examination city by October 31, 2026. This change can be made through the official portal.

Following the examination, the CLAT 2027 admit card is expected to be released in November 2026. The provisional answer key is anticipated on December 7–8, 2026, with the CLAT 2027 result expected around December 16, 2026. The counselling process for CLAT 2027 is expected to commence in the last week of December 2026.
