Admission and Merit List Calculation
Admission to Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) programs, including those offered through SLAT, is strictly on a merit basis. The merit list for SLAT is determined by combining the scores from the Institute Entrance Test, scaled up to 70 marks, and a Personal Interaction (PI) component, which carries 30 marks, for a total of 100 marks.
The Registrar of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has stated that SIU admissions are based on criteria and processes prescribed by the University and individual performance in tests like SLAT. The university has also issued a notification warning aspirants and parents against individuals or organizations making false and misleading claims of assured admission for heavy amounts. The Registrar emphasized that SIU does not charge a capitation fee for admission and has not appointed any agency for such assurances. Aspirants attempting to approach SIU through such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all courses and programs at the university.
