Candidates now have until 10:00 AM on September 24, 2026, to complete their choice filling for the second round of MDS counselling, which commenced on September 19, 2026. MDS Admission Process and Seat Conversion Rules

The entire admission process for 100% of seats in all MDS colleges across Gujarat is conducted online by the Admission Committee on a merit basis. This includes Government Seats (GQ), Management Seats (MQ), and NRI Seats (NQ) in both Government and Self-Financed Dental Colleges of Gujarat. Admission confirmation is contingent upon students paying the prescribed tuition fee at bank branches specifically designated by the Admission Committee.

A specific window has been opened for the cancellation of admitted seats for PG MDS courses. Candidates wishing to cancel their admission must visit their respective Reported Help Center in person between 01:00 PM on September 23, 2026, and 12:00 PM on September 24, 2026. The committee has also outlined rules for seat conversions during the third round allotment process. Vacant NRI seats will be converted to Management seats, while vacant Management seats will then be converted to Government seats. Similarly, vacant Institutional seats (Open/SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) will be converted to their respective CATEGORY of State seats, and vacant Reserved Category State seats (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) will be converted to OPEN State seats. Vacant PwD seats will be converted to State seats in the respective category during the third round allotment process.
