WB JEPBN 2026 round 2 seat allotment result out; report to colleges by September 24

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) released the Round 2 seat allotment result for WB JEPBN 2026 on September 22, 2026. This result is for admission into the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course in various colleges and institutes across West Bengal for the academic session 2026-27.

Qualified candidates with a General Merit Rank (GMR) in the Joint Entrance for Post Basic Nursing (JEPBN) 2026 examination can access their results on the official websites, wbjeeb.nic.in and wbjeeb.in. The Round 2 result link was activated on the portal between 2 PM and 5 PM on September 22, 2026.

Reporting and Seat Acceptance for Round 2 Allotment

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 2 are required to complete the seat acceptance process and report to their respective institutions. The period for seat acceptance fee payment and institute reporting is from September 22, 2026, to September 24, 2026, until 5 PM.

A non-refundable seat acceptance fee of Rs. 5,000 must be paid online by newly allotted candidates. Following payment, candidates must download their allotment letter and physically report to the allotted nursing college with all original documents for verification. Failure to pay the seat acceptance fee and report for document verification by the specified deadline will lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat.

Counselling Process and Upcoming Rounds

The WBJEEB conducts centralized e-counselling for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing courses. The process involves online candidate registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and physical reporting. Seat allotment is based on the candidate’s JEPBN GMR, category ranks, seat availability, and submitted preferences.

Candidates have the option to Freeze (hold the allotted seat), Float/Upgrade (hold the current seat and appear in subsequent rounds for a better preference), or Withdraw from the counselling process. The online seat withdrawal window for Round 2 is open from September 22, 2026, to September 24, 2026.

Round 1 results were declared on September 15, 2026, with reporting concluding on September 17, 2026. Eligibility Criteria for JEPBN 2026 Admission

To be eligible for admission through JEPBN 2026 counselling, candidates must have passed the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course and obtained registration from the West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC) or any other recognized State Nursing Council. In addition, candidates must possess a valid Rank Card with a General Merit Rank (GMR) in JEPBN 2026.

Candidates seeking reserved seats are required to hold valid certificates issued by designated West Bengal state authorities. The JEPBN-2026 examination was tentatively scheduled for June 7, 2026, with online applications accepted from April 1, 2026, to April 18, 2026.
