The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on September 24, 2026, opened its Pariksha Sangam portal for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations 2027. This process is crucial for students appearing in the 2026-27 session, as only those whose names are submitted through this online procedure will be eligible to receive admit cards and sit for the examinations.

Schools are required to complete their registration process before proceeding with the online submission of the LOC, using their ‘Affiliation Number’ as the user ID for the portal. A prior intimation regarding this submission process was issued by CBSE on September 10, 2026.

Key Dates for LOC Submission and Correction

The submission window for the List of Candidates for the Class 10 and 12 main examinations is now active. Schools have until October 17, 2026, to submit candidate details without a late fee if paying through Challan. For other fee payment modes, the deadline for submission without a late fee is October 21, 2026. Submissions made after these dates will incur a late fee.

The portal will accept submissions with a late fee from October 22 to October 26, 2026, via Challan. For other fee payment modes, the final date for LOC fee payment with a late fee is October 30, 2026. The system closes at 11:59:59 PM on the last date for submission or correction. A correction facility for the LOC is scheduled for November 2–4, 2026, and no changes can be made after this window closes. The LOC window for the Class 10 second examination will open later, for a five-day period in March 2027.

Examination and Practical Fee Structure

The examination fee for Indian students is Rs 1,600 per candidate for five subjects. For students in Nepal, the fee for five subjects is Rs 5,500 per candidate, while students from other countries will pay Rs 11,000 per candidate for five subjects. Additional subjects also carry specific fees depending on the student’s location.

A late fee of Rs 2,200 per candidate will be levied for submissions made after the initial deadlines, on top of the regular examination fee. Visually impaired candidates of Classes 10 and 12 are exempted from payment of examination fees. All payments are to be made online on the Pariksha Sangam portal, and the CBSE LOC fee is collected from students and paid to the board in full at the time of LOC submission. A challan for fees can be generated only until October 26, 2026.

Migration Certificates and Student Responsibilities

The CBSE has stated that it will not issue a hard copy of the migration certificate as a compulsory practice. Instead, a soft copy of the migration certificate will be made available immediately after the declaration of Class 12 results. Students who did not upload a photo during their Class 9 or Class 11 registration can do so before the final LOC submission.

Private candidates do not register through schools; they must register separately on cbse.gov.in. Students are taking care of verifying their personal details, subject information, and other required records with their schools before the data is finalized and submitted to the board. Any errors should be reported to the school immediately, and the examination fee should be paid to the school within the prescribed time to avoid late fees.
