Following the conclusion of the choice filling process, the conducting authority will declare the seat allotment results. The web choices provided by candidates will be a primary factor in assigning courses and institutes. Candidates are advised to retain a copy of their filled-in web options form for future reference.

Exercising AP EDCET Web Options

To participate in the web options process, candidates need to navigate to the official website for AP EDCET counselling and locate the dedicated web options link. Upon clicking the link, candidates will be prompted to enter their AP EDCET 2026 Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth. Then, they must provide their mobile number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS. After entering the OTP, candidates can proceed by clicking ‘Submit’.

The portal allows candidates to select a specific district to view colleges or choose ‘All’ to see all available institutions. Government, self-financing, and private colleges are differentiated by distinct colours on the display. Candidates can select colleges by clicking the ‘+’ icon, which adds the chosen institution to the right side of the page. There is no limit to the number of colleges a candidate can select. After making their selections, candidates must click the ‘Save’ option. A ‘Freeze’ option is also available for those who are certain about their choices, though using it prematurely will prevent further edits. It is recommended to wait until closer to the last date of choice filling before freezing options to allow for any necessary modifications. Candidates can also print a copy of their web options slip, which lists their selected colleges and courses.

AP EDCET 2026 Result and Merit Determination

The AP EdCET 2026 result was announced on May 26. Candidates can access their results by logging into the university’s portal using their credentials. The results include essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, category rank, and overall merit rank. Based on these results, the AP EdCET merit list is prepared. Candidates can also download their AP EdCET rank card 2026 by entering their login information.

The minimum passing score for the AP EdCET is 37 marks, which represents 25% of the total marks. However, SC/ST candidates are exempt from this minimum requirement. Also, women candidates in the Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies category are also not subject to any minimum qualifying marks. In the event of a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-C of the examination will be used to determine the relative ranking. If a tie persists, marks from Part-A will be considered. Should candidates still have equal marks across all parts, they will be grouped together for ranking, with older candidates given priority. This ranking system is then used for admission into the course.
