Delhi Govt Launches JDST 2027 Scholarship for Free JEE, NEET Coaching; Check Eligibility and Application Process

In a major boost for aspiring doctors and engineers from economically weaker backgrounds, the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced the launch of the Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JDST) 2027 scholarship program. The initiative offers a free, one-year residential coaching program for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants currently enrolled in Class 12.

The scholarship program is being executed in partnership with the Dakshana Foundation, a Pune-based non-profit organization. Under this scheme, selected students will receive fully funded competitive examination preparation along with free food and accommodation at the foundation’s dedicated campus in Maharashtra.

Program Highlights and Key Details

The Directorate of Education has issued an official circular notifying all eligible Delhi government and government-aided schools about the scheme. The key features of the JDST 2027 scholarship include:

  • Target Group: Class 12 Science stream students studying in Delhi government and government-aided schools during the 2026–27 academic session.

  • Coaching Location: Dakshana Valley Campus, located in Kadus village, Pune district, Maharashtra.

  • Coverage: 100% free intensive coaching for JEE/NEET, complete lodging, and meals for one full academic year.

  • Selection Test Date: The Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JDST) 2027 will be conducted in December 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for JDST 2027 Scholarship

To qualify for the JDST 2027 scholarship, candidates must meet all three terms of eligibility specified by the organizers:

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in Class 12 (Science stream) in a Delhi government or government-aided school for the 2026–27 academic session.

  • Students must be appearing for their Class 12 Board examinations by May 2027.

2. Academic Merit (Class 10 Marks Cutoff)

Eligibility depends on aggregate performance in Mathematics and Science in the Class 10 Board examinations:

  • Engineering Stream (Male Candidates):

    • General: 85% aggregate

    • EWS / OBC: 80% aggregate

    • SC: 70% aggregate

    • ST: 65% aggregate

    • Physically Disabled (PD): 55% aggregate

  • Engineering Stream (Female Candidates):

    • General: 80% aggregate

    • EWS / OBC: 75% aggregate

    • SC: 65% aggregate

    • ST: 60% aggregate

    • Physically Disabled (PD): 50% aggregate

  • Medical Stream (Male and Female Candidates):

    • General: 80% aggregate

    • EWS / OBC: 75% aggregate

    • SC: 65% aggregate

    • ST: 60% aggregate

    • Physically Disabled (PD): 50% aggregate

3. Family Annual Income Limit

  • Male Candidates: Annual family income must be less than ₹3,000,000 (₹3 Lakh).

  • Female Candidates: Annual family income must be up to ₹5,000,000 (₹5 Lakh).

Step-by-Step Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the one-year residential coaching scholarship follows a multi-stage evaluation pipeline:

  1. Initial Shortlisting: Applicants are shortlisted based on their Class 10 academic cutoffs and Class 12 Term 1 performance.

  2. DSA Application & Mock Test: Shortlisted candidates must complete the Dakshana Scholar Application (DSA). They will then be granted access to online mock tests to familiarize themselves with the testing interface.

  3. Written Examination (JDST 2027): Invited students must appear for the online JDST 2027 test in December 2026 at designated examination centers. Candidates are required to bring an Android smartphone to complete the test via the official Dakshana app.

  4. Interview and Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted after the written exam will undergo personal interviews and document verification.

  5. Final Offer: Candidates who clear the interview round will receive an official offer for the one-year scholarship at the Dakshana Valley campus in Pune.

Eligible candidates can complete their application process online by following these simple steps:

  1. Visit Official Portal: Go to the official Dakshana website at dakshana.org.

  2. Locate Form Link: Click on the “Fill Application Form” link available on the home page.

  3. Fill Information: Enter personal, academic, income, and school details accurately on the registration portal.

  4. Submit & Save: Verify all details and click on the “Submit” button. Download the confirmation page and print a copy for future reference.

  5. Download Mobile App: Download the official Dakshana Scholarship Test Android app from the Google Play Store, as all online entrance assessments will be conducted through the application platform.
