ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 counselling dates soon on official portal

The National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) are proceeding with the admission cycle for Master’s degree and doctoral programmes in agriculture and allied sciences for the 2026 academic year. While provisional answer keys for the ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 examinations are available, the counselling dates for these programmes are expected to be announced soon on the official ICAR portal.

These examinations support admissions to 74 Agricultural Universities across India, including State Agricultural Universities, ICAR Deemed Universities, Central Agricultural Universities, and Central Universities with agriculture faculties. They also determine the award of ICAR-PG Scholarships and Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship.

ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 Examination Schedule and Results

The ICAR AIEEA PG and AICE JRF/SRF examinations were conducted on 3 July 2026. The provisional answer key for ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 was expected on 18 July 2026, with the final answer key anticipated in the third week of July 2026. The result for ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 is expected by 12 August 2026.

The application window for ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2026 opened on 6 May 2026, following the notification release on the same date. The last date to apply was 5 June 2026, with an application correction window available from 7 to 9 June 2026.

Counselling Process for Postgraduate and Doctoral Programmes

Counselling for qualified candidates for both ICAR AIEEA PG and ICAR AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) programmes is expected to begin in August – September 2026. This process will be conducted through the official ICAR portal. Candidates will need to register, fill choices, pay counselling fees, and upload necessary documents as part of the process.

For postgraduate admissions, cut-off marks are set at 60% for General category candidates and 50% for OBC, SC/ST, and PWD categories. These cut-offs are applied to determine eligibility for counselling and seat allotment in the various agricultural universities under the ICAR-AU system.

Undergraduate Admissions and CUET UG 2026 Integration

For undergraduate admissions, the ICAR AIEEA (UG) 2026 was integrated with the CUET UG 2026 examination. The CUET UG 2026 exam was conducted between 11 and 31 May 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the CUET (UG) 2026 result on 23 June 2026.

The counselling portal for CUET (UG) 2026 registration, consent, and subject combination selection opened from 17 July 2026 to 23 July 2026. Subsequent processes, including rank generation, display of seat matrix, registration for counselling, choice filling, and document uploading, commenced on 26 July 2026. Seat allotments and related verification processes were completed by 23 August 2026. Undergraduate OBC candidates require 40% and General candidates over 50% for cut-off marks.
