Specifically, Chapter 1, ‘Solid State’, has been removed from the Class 12 Chemistry syllabus, along with the topic ‘Group of 15 P-Block Elements’. Additionally, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 10 marks have been introduced in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. A practical exam worth ten marks has also been added to the Mathematics curriculum for Class 12.

Attendance Requirement and Supplementary Exams

In related news, the PSEB Class 12 supplementary exams for the 2026 academic session were conducted from July 4 to 6, 2026. The Class 10 supplementary exams were held from July 6 to 16, 2026. Results for these supplementary examinations were anticipated to be released shortly after September 3, 2026.

Comparison with Rajasthan Board

While PSEB has announced its schedule, the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) is implementing a new system for its 10th Board Exam 2027. The RBSE 10th Board Exam 2027 will be conducted twice in the 2026-27 academic session. The first examination is scheduled for February-March 2027, followed by a second remedial examination in May 2027.

This new system allows students to appear for improvement in a maximum of three subjects in the remedial exam, with the higher marks obtained in each subject across the two examinations being considered for the final result. Students falling short of minimum passing marks in a maximum of two subjects in the RBSE 10th main exam may receive provisional admission to Class 11.
