SNAP Exam Pattern and Structure

The SNAP exam is a 60-minute computer-based test (CBT) comprising three sections: General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. The exam has a total of 60 questions, with each correct answer earning 1 mark, leading to a total of 60 marks. There is a negative marking of -0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, while unanswered questions do not incur any penalty. There are no sectional time limits within the SNAP exam.

The SNAP 2026 exam is expected to be of moderate difficulty. It will feature a significant focus on Logical Reasoning and speed-based Quantitative questions. The expected difficulty level for Verbal Ability is Easy to Moderate, while Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude are anticipated to be Moderate. Analytical and Logical Reasoning often determines the final percentile due to its highest question count.

Section Questions Marks
General English 15 15
Analytical & Logical Reasoning 25 25
Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency 20 20

Evolution of SNAP Question Papers

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) stopped releasing official SNAP question papers after 2018 when the exam transitioned fully online. Consequently, from 2019 onwards, expert-created SNAP sample papers have become the primary practice resources for candidates. While SNAP previous year question papers from 2006 till 2025 are available for download, those prior to 2019 may be less relevant for current preparation due to changes in the syllabus and exam pattern over time.

The SNAP exam has been conducted since 2004, and its format has evolved. The SNAP 2026 question paper PDF is designed to test speed, smart selection of questions, and accuracy. General English has consistently been identified as the easiest and most scoring section in past SNAP exams.
