Smart Strategies for Choice Filling
Getting a good rank is only half the battle won; filling choices strategically is what actually lands you a seat. Keep these tips in mind before locking your list:
-
The Golden Rule: Always put your dream college and branch combination at the very top, regardless of your rank. The system evaluates options from top to bottom.
-
Add a Safety Net: Do not just fill 2 or 3 elite options. Mix your list with absolute dream choices, realistic matches based on past trends, and at least 2 safe backup colleges where your rank comfortably clears past cutoffs.
-
Check the System: Only locked choices will be evaluated during the round 1 seat allotment. An unlocked list might lead to absolute rejection from the round.
