The Dr YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, is the authority overseeing Andhra Pradesh AYUSH counselling. The process requires candidates to meet specific academic and age criteria, including a valid NEET UG 2026 qualification.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

To be eligible for BHMS admission through AP AYUSH UG Counselling 2026, candidates must have successfully passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology. A valid NEET UG 2026 qualification is a mandatory requirement for all applicants. In addition, candidates must have completed 17 years of age by December 31, 2026, with those born on or after January 1, 2010, being ineligible. There is no specified upper age limit for eligibility.

The minimum marks typically required in the PCB aggregate are 50% for the General category, 40% for reserved categories, and 45% for Persons with Disabilities (PwD). Online registration is anticipated to commence after the NEET UG 2026 result is declared. The last date to apply for BHMS AIQ registration is September 23.

The counselling process for BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses for the 2026-27 academic year is managed by Dr YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. The 2025 seat snapshot indicated a total of 1,120 seats across these courses, serving as a reference until the 2026 brochure is released.

Candidates who receive an allotment message are required to pay a university fee of ₹8,500. Tuition fees vary by course and institution type. For instance, the tuition fee for the BNYS Course is ₹22,000 per year. Government BAMS colleges have a tuition fee of ₹12,357 per year, while private BAMS colleges charge ₹59,500 per year.
