Delhi University BTech Admission 2026: Faculty of Technology Revises Spot Round 1 Schedule
The Faculty of Technology at the University of Delhi (DU) has officially updated the admission schedule for its undergraduate Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programs for the 2026–27 academic year. The university released a revised timeline specifically for Spot Admission Round 1, directing all registered applicants to follow the new dates carefully to avoid losing their allotted seats.
The Faculty of Technology offers three four-year full-time BTech degree courses: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Seats across these programs are being filled strictly through the Common Rank List (CRL) of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026.
Key Highlights of the Revised Spot Round 1 Schedule
Delhi University updated the counseling dates to streamline candidate document verification and give students adequate time to complete their admission requirements.
-
Declaration of Spot Round 1 Seat Allocation: August 6, 2026
-
Seat Acceptance Window for Candidates: August 6 (from 4:59 PM) to August 9, 2026 (until 4:59 PM)
-
Document Verification and Approval by Faculty: August 6 to August 10, 2026 (until 4:59 PM)
-
Deadline for Online Admission Fee Payment: August 11, 2026 (until 4:59 PM)
University officials have stressed that deadlines will not be extended under any circumstances. Candidates who fail to accept their seats or do not complete fee payments within the stipulated timeframe will forfeit their seat allocation.
Step-by-Step Guide for Allotted Candidates
Students who receive a seat allocation during the Spot Admission Round must follow three mandatory steps through the DU CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) portal at admission.uod.ac.in or the dedicated engineering portal engineering.uod.ac.in:
1. Accept the Seat
Candidates must log in to their student dashboard using their registered JEE Main application number and password. If allocated a seat, they must click the “Accept” option before August 9, 2026. Inaction is treated as non-acceptance, which permanently cancels the allocated seat.
2. Wait for Faculty Verification
Once a candidate accepts the seat, the application moves to the Faculty of Technology for online document check. Officials verify Class 12 mark sheets, JEE Main rank cards, category certificates (if applicable), and identity proofs. Candidates are advised to monitor their dashboard daily in case the department raises a query or requests re-uploaded documents.
3. Pay the Admission Fee
After the Faculty approves the application online, a “Pay Fee” link appears on the candidate’s dashboard. The admission is officially confirmed only when the program fee is successfully submitted before the deadline on August 11, 2026.
Admission Eligibility Criteria
To secure admission into DU’s Faculty of Technology, applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
Entrance Exam: Candidates must have appeared in Paper 1 of JEE (Main) 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Admissions rely purely on the All India Common Rank List. No separate university entrance test or CUET score is used for these BTech courses.
