NIT Calicut BTech Physical Reporting Schedule 2026 Released: Check Branch-wise Schedule Here

The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) has released the 2026 physical reporting schedule and admission guidelines for candidates allotted B.Tech and B.Arch seats through JoSAA 2026 and CSAB 2026. As per the official notification, the branch-wise physical reporting and document verification process will be conducted from August 13 to August 18, 2026, with no reporting on August 15 due to Independence Day. All provisionally admitted candidates must report in person at the institute on their allotted date to complete document verification, fee-related formalities, and admission procedures ahead of the Induction Programme beginning on August 24, 2026.

To prevent overcrowding, NIT Calicut has allocated specific dates for each engineering and architecture discipline:

Venue and Reporting Timings for NIT Calicut BTech Students

  • Reporting Venue: Main Campus / Admission Desk, NIT Calicut, Kozhikode, Kerala.

  • Token Distribution: Starts from 8:30 AM onwards on the respective reporting days.

  • Reporting Session: Official verification begins at 9:00 AM.

  • PwD Candidates Reporting: All Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates are required to report at 10:00 AM on their assigned date to appear before the Medical Board constituted by NIT Calicut.

    • Special Provision: PwD candidates scheduled on Sunday (August 16) may report on any other weekday (before or after August 16), as the Medical Board will not operate on Sunday.

Who Needs to Report for NIT Calicut Physical Reporting?

Physical reporting is mandatory for the following categories of candidates who wish to confirm their seat at NIT Calicut:

  • Candidates who secured a seat during JoSAA 2026 Rounds 1 to 5, paid the Partial Admission Fee (PAF), and chose to retain or upgrade their seat in CSAB 2026 Special Rounds.

  • Candidates allotted a fresh seat at NIT Calicut during CSAB 2026 Special Rounds.

  • Candidates admitted through DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) and ICCR schemes for the 2026 session.

Documents Required for NIT Calicut BTech Physical Reporting

Candidates must present original certificates alongside self-attested photocopies during document verification:

  • Identity Proof: Aadhar Card / Passport / Govt-issued Photo ID

  • Academic Proofs:

    • Class X Certificate / Birth Certificate (Proof of Date of Birth)

    • Class XII Marksheet and Pass Certificate

  • Exam Certificates: JEE Main 2026 Admit Card and Official Scorecard

  • Seat Allotment Letters: JoSAA / CSAB Provisional Seat Allotment Letter & Fee Receipts (Seat Acceptance Fee & PAF)

  • Category & Reservation Certificates:

    • SC / ST Category Certificate (in prescribed format)

    • OBC-NCL Certificate issued on or after April 1, 2026

    • GEN-EWS Certificate issued on or after April 1, 2026

    • Valid UDID Card / PwD Certificate (if applicable)

  • Income Certificate: Issued on or after April 1, 2026 by a Revenue Officer not below Tahsildar rank (mandatory for candidates seeking MHRD fee tuition waivers).

  • Institutional Certificates: Transfer Certificate (TC), Migration Certificate, and Character/Conduct Certificate.

  • Medical Certificate: As per JoSAA / CSAB 2026 format.

Admission Fee and Hostel Admission Process

Online Registration & Fee Clearance

Prior to physical reporting, candidates must log into the Institute Management System (IMS) portal of NIT Calicut (credentials sent via email on or after August 12, 2026) to complete pre-admission profile details and pay balance institute fees.

Hostel Allotment

Hostel accommodation is allocated strictly after the successful completion of physical document verification and issuance of the provisional admission order. Students can proceed directly to the Hostel Office with their provisional admission letter to complete room assignment and mess registration.

What Candidates Must Carry on the NIT Calicut BTech Reporting Day
