The Punjab Police Recruitment Board announced the results for the written examination for the recruitment of police constables to the district police and armed police cadres on October 4, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the computer-based test (CBT) can now access their scorecards through the official websites, punjabpolice.gov.in or cdn.digialm.com.

Over 3.5 lakh candidates participated in the examination, which was conducted from July 1 to July 30, 2026, across various centres in multiple shifts. This recruitment drive seeks to fill a total of 3,298 constable vacancies, comprising 2,522 in the district cadre and 776 in the armed cadre.
Accessing Results and Scorecards
To check their results and download scorecards, candidates are required to sign in to the official portals using their user ID and password. The scorecards will remain accessible for download from October 4, 2026, until March 30, 2027. The recruitment notification, advertisement number 01/2026, was initially released on March 6, 2026.
The written computer-based test included Paper 2, which assessed Punjabi language proficiency. This paper was qualifying in nature and its marks do not contribute to the final merit score. The provisional answer key for the CBT was published on August 5, 2026, with the objection window closing on August 7, 2026.

Next Stages: Physical Measurement and Screening Tests
Candidates who have qualified in the written examination will proceed to the next stages of the selection process: the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and the Physical Screening Test (PST). These physical tests are scheduled to take place from October 12 to October 30, 2026, at the PAP Complex in Jalandhar.

Recruitment Details and Remuneration

The starting salary for a Punjab Police Constable is Rs. 19,900 per month, with an approximate gross salary of Rs. 31,000 per month.
