JKSSB Recruitment 2026 Notification Released for 518 Posts, Applications Open on September 10th

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially issued the recruitment notification under Advertisement No. 08 of 2026 for a total of 518 vacancies. The applications for these posts will open from 10th September to 9th October 2026 at jkssb.nic.in. The recruitment drive aims to fill various Union Territory (UT), Divisional, and District Cadre posts across key government departments, including Health & Medical Education, Agriculture Production, Higher Education, and Labour & Employment.

This recruitment provides an opportunity for candidates holding a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Students applying for these posts will also have to pay an application fee of Rs. 500-600. Qualified candidates can earn a monthly pay from Rs. 15,900 to Rs. 81,100.

Applicants must meet the domicile, age, and educational requirements specified in Advertisement No. 08 of 2026.

1. Domicile Requirement

• Applicants must be domicile holders of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority.

2. Upper Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026)

• Open Merit (OM): 40 years

• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / ALC-IB / EWS / OBC: 43 years

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 42 years

3. Educational Qualifications

• Junior Pharmacist: 10+2 with Science and a Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.

• Junior Staff Nurse: Matric or above with Science and a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).

• Horticulture Technician Grade-IV: 10+2 with a 1-year Basic Horticulture Training course.

• Junior Lab Technician: Matric or above with a 2-year Diploma in Lab Technician course or a B.Sc in Lab Technology.

• Junior Laboratory Assistant: Graduation with Science (preference is given to candidates with a PG Diploma in a professional lab course).

4. Application Fee

• General / OBC Candidates: ₹600

• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS / PwBD Candidates: ₹500

• Fees must be paid online via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

JKSSB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for all advertised posts consists of two main stages:

• Objective Written Examination (OMR-Based): Candidates will take an offline OMR-based written examination containing objective multiple-choice questions. The examination paper will be set in English only.

• Negative Marking: A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

• Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted based on merit in the written examination will be called for document verification to validate their domicile, age, and academic eligibility
